One of the pillars in Don Bosco’s system of education is holy communion. The First Holy Communion is an integral part in the scholastic program of the Grade School Department particularly the Christian Living Program. Don Bosco Technical Institute-Makati City gives premium to its spiritual and character formation of its students. Through this, it is our conviction to make them good Christians and honest citizens.
From January 17 to 20, 2012, the Grade II pupils had their FIRST HOLY COMMUNION. With their parents and relatives witnessing this significant event in their spiritual life, they truly became more united with the Church. Before having their first holy communion, the CL teachers, campus ministers and teachers ensured their readiness by guiding them through lectures, practices and confession. They had their confession with Fr. Renato De Guzman, SDB, the Grade School Assistant Principal for Pastoral Affairs and Institutional Pastoral Animator as the confessor. To be reminded of the importance of the Holy Eucharist and their roles as the first educators of the faith of their children, the Grade II parents were given formation by the Office of the Pastoral Affairs.
