BASIC INFORMATION
ADMISSION POLICY AND PROCEDURES

- APPLICATION PERIOD ARE AS FOLLOWS:
Preparatory September 1, 2012 onwards Grade One October 3, 2012 onwards First Year High School October 3, 2012 onwards Grade Two to Five January 3, 2013 onwards
- DON BOSCO is a CATHOLIC INSTITUTION and application is preferably open to CATHOLICS.
- APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
GRADE SCHOOL HIGH SCHOOL PREPARATORY:
- Birth Certificate from NSO (original & photocopy)
- Baptismal Certificate (original & photocopy )
- 2 pcs. latest I. D. pictures
(1½ x 1½)- Recommendation from either the Principal, Class Adviser or Guidance Counselor.
- At least five (5) years old
GRADE ONE :
- Birth Certificate from NSO (original & photocopy)
- Baptismal Certificate (original & photocopy)
- 2 pcs. latest I.D. pictures(1½ x 1½)
- Latest report card. No grade lower than 80% in the individual subject in every quarter preceding his application
- Recommendation from either the Principal, Class Adviser or Guidance Counselor
- At least six (6) years old
FIRST YEAR :
- Birth Certificate from NSO ( original & photocopy)
- Baptismal Certificate (original & photocopy)
- 2 pcs. latest I. D. pictures (1½ x 1½)
- Recommendation from either the Principal, Guidance Counselor, or Class Adviser
- Grade V1 Report Card ( as of first / second quarters)
- Academic Average in Grade VI is at least 83% with no grade lower than 80% in all his subjects.
- Conduct Grade of at least 85% or its equivalent letter grade.
- The requirements for application of TRANSFEREES for other Grade and Year levels are as follows:
GRADE SCHOOL HIGH SCHOOL Transferees for the other Grade Levels are accepted only if there are available slots.
- Birth Certificate from the NSO(original & photocopy )
- Baptismal Certificate (original.& photocopy)
- 2 pcs. latest I.D. pictures (1½ x 1½)
- Report Card (Grades as of the Second Quarter)
- Recommendation from either the Principal, Class Adviser or Guidance Counselor.
* No grade lower than 80% in the individual subject in the quarters preceding his application. Transferees for the other Year Levels are not accepted unless they come from a Don Bosco Technical School.
- A letter of Good Moral Standing from the Principal together with the other requirements mentioned above are needed for admission
- For Foreign students, additional requirements are as follows:
- Photocopy of Passport and ACR ( Alien Certificate of Registration ) Number
- Certification to Study from the Bureau of Immigration and Deportation (BID)
- Certificate of Eligibility for Admission issued by the Department of Education

- Applicants for Grade School /High School must be a graduate from a school recognized by the Department of Education. Applicants are requested to present a photocopy of the most recent permit / recognition issued to the school by the Department of Education. (Reference: Section 28 , page 25 - Authority to Operate . 2010 Revised Manual of Regulations For Private Schools in Basic Education)
- For enrollment purposes , the name and other personal data or circumstances of each student as officially indicated on his Certificate of Birth or Alien Certificate of Registration , if applicable shall be strictly observed and followed. (Reference: Section 117, page 63 of 2010 Revised Manual of Regulations For Private Schools in Basic Education)

- All Applicants shall undergo the following Admission Procedures.
- Applicants must submit all credentials and forms to the Registrar’s Office for initial screening. Qualified applicants shall fill out DBTI Form 2 to be issued by the Registering Officer.
- Application and Testing Fees are to be paid to the Cashier’s Office.
- Receipt of payment will be forwarded to the Registrar’s Office. Schedule of Entrance Tests and interview will be given through the DBTI Form No. 2.
- Applicants for admission must take and pass the qualifying Entrance Tests and Interview on the scheduled time and date.
- Results of the admission tests can be viewed online through the official school website. However, tests results should be claimed from the Registrar’s Office on a date specified in DBTI Form 2.
- In cases that a student is admitted in spite of deficiency in any of the aforementioned qualifications, he shall be placed on probation for one school year.
- All parents of successful applicants must attend the ORIENTATION SEMINAR which shall be held before the opening of the new school year in order to familiarize them with the Don Bosco System of Education.
- Students who had been previously dismissed from DBTI-Makati due to poor conduct, poor academic and/or technical performance shall be denied admission.
- Decisions on all cases of admission in the Grade School and High School departments are left to the department head.
TECHNICAL VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING CENTER (TVET)

- APPLICATION PERIOD begins on February for June Batch and September for November Batch.
- The REQUIREMENTS for APPLICATION are as follows:
- NSO - issued Birth Certificate
must be 17 – 30 years old at the start of the program) – original and photocopy- Baptismal Certificate or its equivalent in your religion–original and photocopy

– High School Card and HS Diploma
– Transcript of Records (TOR)
– A & E Test Result from Alternative Learning System
– PEPT Result from Dep Ed

– Income Tax Return of Employed Parent/s or Guardian
– Notarized Certificate of Non-Filing of Income Tax
– Certificate of Indigency from the Barangay Captain
- Letter of Recommendation from ANY of the following:
– Bishop

- All applicants will undergo the following admission procedures:
Phase 1: (APPLICATION)
- Submit all credentials and forms to the Registrar’s Office.
- Pay the application fee at the Accounting Office. The application/ testing fee of Php. 150.00 shall be paid by the regular trainees and scholarship grantees.
- Present the official receipt to the Registrar’s Office . The applicant is then informed of the test schedule and date of release of test results.
Phase 2: (TEST ADMINISTRATION and INTERVIEW)
(If the applicant is able to pass the admission examination.)
- TEST ADMINISTRATION and TEST RESULT
- DO NOT BE LATE on the day of your examination. Late examinees will not be allowed to take the test.
- Bring 2 Mongol pencils (with eraser).
- Claim your test result on the date stated in your Examinee Slip or
- View the Test Result and the Interview Schedule from the website.
- INTERVIEW
- Present the Claim Slip to the Registrar’s Office. The office informs the applicant of his/her schedule for the interview. The applicant accomplishes ALL the requirements for the interview.
- Come on the scheduled date for interview.
The applicant shall be interviewed by the following offices (in order):
First – Asst. Technical Director for Pastoral Affairs
Second – Asst. Technical Director for Student Affairs
Third – Technical Director
- Present the Interview Form signed by the interviewers to the Technical Director for endorsement.
- 4. Secure the Assessment Form from the ATD – Student Affairs.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS on the day of the INTERVIEW:
The applicant must PRESENT his/her MEDICAL CERTIFICATE from an accredited clinic to the ATD – Student Affairs (NO MEDICAL CERTIFICATE, NO INTERVIEW POLICY will be observed) The interviewee must come in proper attire (male and female). Male applicants should sport proper haircut.
Phase 3: (ENROLLMENT )
- Come on the scheduled date of your enrollment.
- Present your Accomplished Assessment Form and Accomplished Interview Form to the Registering Officer.
- Fill out the Trainee Basic Information Sheet
- Pay the minimum amount due upon enrolment – Php1,500
- 5. Present the Official Receipt and the Assessment Form to the Registering Officer. Submit the Accomplished Trainee Basic Information Sheet and the Interview Form. The Registering Officer will stamp ENROLLED on the following documents:
- Official Receipt (OR)
- Assessment Form
- Trainee Basic Information Sheet
- Interview Form
- The Registering Officer gets the Trainee Basic Information Sheet and Interview Form and returns the copy of the OR and Assessment Form to the applicant.
