  • To provide quality technical education to the poor and underprivileged youth for gainful employment

The Technical Vocational Education and Training Center (formerly known as Don Bosco Training Center, Manpower Training Department and Manpower Skills Training Center) of Don Bosco Technical Institute of Makati was established in 1971 by the Salesians of Don Bosco (SBD) with Automotive, Machine Shop, Electrical and Electronics and Printing Courses. It was set up to provide the underprivileged Filipino youth with technical skills to gain decent employment and to improve their lives and that of their family. In its early stages, two student were trained in each course for one year and were sent for on-the-job training to the industry.

After this initial undertaking, the training courses gained the interest of industries and enrollment has increased then.

Today, about 800 to 900 underprivileged youth are being trained in the various courses and are employed in our partner industries, both local and abroad.

The mission goes on as we endeavor to form GOOD CHRISTIANS and UPRIGHT CITIZENS.
